Research on Product Design Based on the Axiomatic Design
A product design consists of a creative process where new ideas or solutions are synthesized and an analytical process where design decisions are made by evaluating the new ideas proposed. The method of product design is throughout the whole design process. The evaluation index system of design shemes is established based on the theory of Axiomatic design, analysis of the guiding thought and method on the process of product design. Furthermore, the product axiomatic design method has been successfully applied in the design of some projects and achieves positive responses in its utility, flexibility and robustness.
