A Full Database Supported Strategy for the Software Development of Engineering Production Design and Analysis
A full database supported strategy is presented for the software development of integration design and analysis of engineering productions. The strategy resolves the elements of engineering design and analysis as a solver and five supporters. The solver embraces all the used scientific methods, approaches, and measurements logically, digitally, and numerically. The supporters are databases for supporting the solver. They are Prototype-F for reserving functional, constructive and geometric parameterization prototypes; Material-S for material and structure metallurgical, physical, static mechanical fatigued, and fractured parameters;Loads for service conditions including loads and environments obtained from expected design, on-line inspection, and numerical simulations;Criteria for code based criteria and the customer’s requirements;and History for historic successful and failure events. Any of information in the databases is step-by-step called by the solver to match the process of production design and analysis by an independent and flexible interface. The software is then developed by combining software engineering, data engineering, and knowledge engineering to form an innovation software environment of Re-usability, High efficiency, Flexibility, and adaptability. The software information can be multiplied and strengthened days and months. And the functions can be perfected itself as the time increase. Feasibility has been indicated by the software platform development for China high speed motor unit reliability design and analysis.
