Numerical Simulation on Demonstration Device of Liquid Metal Magneto-hydrodynamic (LMMHD) Wave Energy Direct Conversion
The time-domain model of a demonstration device of LMMHD wave energy direct conversion was established.An end coefficient was introduced to take the end effect into account.The Runge-Kutta Method was used in the calculation and the calculating results were compared with the test values.The results show that there is a good agreement between the calculating electromotive force (EMF) and test one.With a large load factor and small velocity, the calculating output power is close to the test one.
