Electrified innovation from ordinary load-sensing control block of sandwich plate design to LUDV control block of sandwich plate design

LUDV stands for Lastdruck-Unabhangige DurchflussVerteilung (load pressure-independent flow distribution). Different from ordinary load-sensing control block of sandwich plate design, its pressure compensator is arranged between the main spool and the actuator ports. If a shortage occurs in conjunction with an LUDV system, i.e. the pump flow is no longer sufficient to operate all actuators at the requested velocity; the velocity of all functions is evenly reduced. This results from the reduced pressure differential across all pressure compensators. Then, no hydraulic actuator will come to a standstill. In the shipyard transporter, one type of electro-hydraulic proportional control system was built with a load-sensing variable displacement pump, ordinary load-sensing control blocks of sandwich plate design, CAN bus control modules, revolution speed transducers and several actors. With the help of revolution speed transducer, the control module get the pumps revolution speed, then, maximum flow of the pump and the total requested flow of the system can be calculated out. Reduce the input signals proportionally, making the pumps maximum flow a little more than the total required flow. In this way, we achieved roughly the same result as the system than controlled by LUDV control block of sandwich plate design.
