Multi-purpose energy saving hydrostatic transmission with secondary regulation test bench using sensor controlled multiple regenerated power storage modules
The main purpose of this paper is to develop a multipurpose energy saving hydrostatic transmission with secondary regulation test bench using sensor controlled multiple regenerated power storage units. The computer controlled system is effectively coordinated through (IGBT), integrated into electronic bi-directional (VSD). The sensors help for energy and power sharing/management of the storage modules particularly during instant power shortage/supply and power sags. The test bench is used to examine the system operation principle, performance, level of energy storage, ride-through capabilities, power matching and control strategy of the secondary controlled technology. Experimental result shows that it is very efficient in energy saving, power matching, ride-through for sags up to 75% and ride through of up to 10 seconds.
