On heave compensation system for deep-sea mining equipment

First, the principle of the light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty HCS is introduced. A multi-function complex controller suiting the three kinds of HCS is designed. Based on similar principles, a multifunction simulation test rig is built, which can simulate the above three kinds of HCS. Based on the power bond graph and simulink software, the process simulation model for the heave compensation of the three kinds of HCS is built. The results of the computer simulation and simulation experiment show that high heave compensation precision is obtained. So it is also proved that the three kinds of design schemes for HCS are feasible, and that the complex controller designed is effective, and that the process simulation model built is correct.
