Experimental research on pressure drop characteristics of two-way-cartridge-valve-based pressure control modules

Due to the limit of mathematic models describing the behavior of pressure control modules based on 2-way cartridge valves during the loss of pressure, this paper presents experimental investigations of the control module, and gives discussions on the influences of such parameters as the orifice diameter, spring stiffness, relief pressure, flow rate on the recovery characteristics like the recovery time and recovery pressure, the results prefer suitable orifice diameter, spring with high stiffness, and high flow rate to enhance the recovery procedure.
