Study on releasing pressure characteristics for forging hydraulic press

The traditional forging hydraulic presses popularly adopt prefill valve and triple-stage cartridge valve to unload pressure. The prefill valve is too bulky to install, furthermore, its installation place is requested severely. What is more important is its unloading effect is related to external control pressure, and its hard to debug by hand. Comparing with prefill valve, the triple-stage cartridge valve structure is simple, and fault ratio and cost is low, furthermore, its maintenance is easy, but its control is belong to on-off mode, so the pressure impact cant be eliminated completely. Moreover, every cartridge valve open height of triple-stage cartridge valve is adjusted by hand based on experience, which lead to hydraulic components damage easily. The electro-hydraulic proportional cartridge valve change the artificial qualitative adjustment to computer quantitative adjustment, and the experimental results approved that the effect of pressure relief is perfect.
