Load distribution for tandem cold rolling mill based on PSO and Quasi-Newton hybrid algorithm
To make full use of machine and motor equipment, a multi-objective optimization method of rolling load distribution of tandem cold rolling mill is provided based on particle swarm optimization and quasi-Newton hybrid algorithm. The multi-objective function is set up in which the distribution ratio of rolling force and motor power are all considered, then a global search is done by PSO method and a local search is done by quasi-Newton method. The hybrid algorithm has the advantage of the global character of PSO and the rapidity of quasi-Newton method. By the application on one five-stand tandem cold rolling mill, the efficiency of the hybrid algorithm and the practicability of multi-objective optimization of load distribution are confirmed.
