The hydraulic pitch-controlled technology of wind turbine
Based on the control requirement of power regulation, spindle brake and yaw, the electro-hydraulic proportional integrated system of wind turbine was designed. Then the semi-physical simulation test-bed combined with the design software (BLADED) of wind turbine was formed. The piecewise PID pitchcontrolled algorithm and the control strategy for the switchover between variable speed constant frequency (VSCF) and pitch control were used in the test-bed. The results show that when the wind speed is higher than the rating, the output power through the piecewise PID control is more stable compared with normal PID control. And when the wind speed is kept around the rating, the switchover between VSCF and pitch control runs well and the demand of power control and optimal energy capture is satisfied.
