Ultra-high pressure water jetting rust removal model and analysis of rust removal speed

An Ultra-high pressure water jetting removal rust system in vessels was designed, the design index was given, the heavy power pump system and vacuum recycling residue system were chosen, a climbing robot for hull rust removal was developed. The emphasis of research was to get insight into the jet dynamic characteristics, which were the relationship between robot speed and removal rust depth, and studying on the relationship between robot speed and distance of robot nozzle from ship in a certain condition robot feeding-velocity and removal rust ratio. The water jetting model and derusting model were established. Finally, the experiments between robot speed and removal rust ratio were carried out. Experiments show that when the robot feeding-velocity is increasing, the rust removal depths will be decreased, when the target distance is decreasing, the rust removal depths will be increased.
