Analysis of available energy losses in pneumatic booster valves
In this paper, firstly, a new energy consumption evaluation criterion in pneumatic system, available energy, which determines the power transmitted by flowing compressed air, is briefly introduced. The available energy of flowing compressed air, which presents the energy which can be theoretically converted to mechanical work. Secondly, As the application of the new energy consumption evaluation criterion—available energy, energy losses in pneumatic booster valve were studied, the losses rates of available energy in different processes of pneumatic booster were obtained, and that laid the foundation for the optimization of pneumatic booster and energy-saving goal of the pneumatic pressurization system.
