Study on a piezoelectric pilot valve based on flexible hinge

In order to overcome the piezoelectric stack disadvantage of minute output displacement, a twostage flexible hinge displacement amplification mechanism which can effectively amplify the piezoelectric stack output displacement is designed and its finite element analysis is done. On this basis, the piezoelectric pilot valve experimental prototype is designed and manufactured and its relevant static and dynamic characteristics tests are conducted. The tests show that the prototype has favorable static and dynamic performances with wide application respects.
