Study on the characteristics of air driven gas booster based on experiments

With the development of pneumatic technology toward the ultrahigh pressure resent years, high pressure gases have been more and more made use of in the practical production of modern industry I There have been many kinds of high pressure gas generating equipments, and air driven gas booster is most popular in that it is able to use low pressure air as power, free of electricity and oil lubrication, structured compactly, light in weight, and to transfer high pressure gas more neatly and effectively. For better understanding the characteristics of gas booster, a High Pressure Gas Injecting Experiment Table was built up. During the gas injection, the inlet and outlet pressure, driving air pressure and its instantaneous flow rate were data-acquired, then according to the analysis of the acquired data of above four parameters, the change laws of the boosters performance during the gas injecting process was studied. Experiment was carried out repeatedly when the value of one of the three parameters: inlet pressure, the pressure and instantaneous flow rate of driving air was changed and the others were unaltered, and the effect of the changed one to the boosters characteristics was obtained by comparison method. The conclusions are helpful for model selection, design and application of gas boosters.
