Integrated hydraulic propulsion of ship
As the development tends towards high-speed, largescale and high-power, power of ship main engine becomes larger and larger, which make the engine design and cabin arrangement more and more difficult. Ship maneuverability becomes a tough problem and so on. A new ship propulsion method, integrated hydraulic propulsion (IHP), was put forward to solve these problems. Working condition matching characteristics of IHP system is studied. The results show that IHP ship has the following important advantages: cabin arrangement is flexible; working condition matching characteristic and Gaseous emission characteristic is good; power density is larger; maneuverability is excellent. Diesel engine on IHP ship can always work under best working condition, making full use of its power. So, IHP is more suitable for larger power ship, engineering ship and warship.
