Simulation of finite element modeling to pneumatic artificial muscle
The construction of the Pneumatic Artificial Muscles (PAMs) is mainly consists of inflatable membrane and shell which is braided by fibers. The purpose of this article is to introduce and to give an overview of the Pneumatic Artificial Muscles as a whole and to discuss its numerical modeling, using the Finite Element (FE) Method. More information to understand on PAMs behavior in generating force for actuation is obtained. The FE results are obtained, and plotted curves. Because the end of PAMs and material characteristic are considered, the finite element results are closer to true value.
