A NEW ALGORITHM FOR TASK SCHEDULING IN INTEGRATED PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Using critical chain theory, a practical priority rule based heuristic algorithm is put forward for task scheduling in Integrated Product Development (IPD). The simulation results show this algorithm makes great improvement in computing accuracy compared to ACTIM. In order to simplify the complexity and increase the degree of parallelism of tasks in IPD, this paper presents a method to decompose and reconstruct tasks based on resource portfolio.
