INFLUENTIAL FACTORS FOR THE DISCREPANCY BETWEEN URBAN RESIDENTS LEISURE MOTIVATION AND BEHAVIOR
There is an agreement that motivation does not always lead to specific behavior owing to various environ mental factors, but empirical researches into the inconsistency between the two, especially in the context of leisure studies, are quite scarce. The paper, based on a survey conducted among Dalian residents, identifies the discrepancy between urban residents leisure motivations and their behavior. And then, both subjective and objective reasons for such discrepancy are examined and analyzed. The findings could help better design and organize leisure activities in urban area.
