A STUDY ON CHEST-PRESS LOAD CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CARE PREVENTION EXERCISE MACHINE FOR AGED PERSON
Chest-press load characteristics of the care prevention exercise machine using the hydraulic piston cylinder are analyzed to improve of the exercise machine, and to devise exercise guidance corresponding to aged person’s ability. Expressions of mechanology are constructed from relation among element parts of the exercise machine. Chest-press load is estimated from drive speed of the chest-press handle and mechanical characteris tic value of the hydraulic piston cylinder. As a result, it was indicated that the handle position of maximum chest-press load was 87 degrees from the horizontal, and that the load variation of the chest-press decreased 5. 2% (average) by lowering the height of the cylinder fixation edge from 67mm to 62.5mm.
