REPRESENTATION OF TACTILE SENSE OF PAPER USING VIRTUAL TACTILE SENSE SYSTEM FOR KANSEI EVALUATION

Evaluation of Kansei from various sensing is useful to develop products touched by human’s hand. Tactile sensation is focused on especially for influencing Kansei. In this paper, we improve the representing method of surface shape in a presenting system of virtual tactile sense using a haptic device 1 . And it is considered a-bout an application potentiality of virtual tactile senses to real objects intended for paper. Therefore, various surface shapes based on real papers are added to the system. In the experiment, it is confirmed differences of Kansei evaluation between virtual papers and real papers.
