Identification of 'Dongyuan' Longan by RAPD Analysis

'Dongyuan' (Dimocarpus longan Lout.) was found to be a good germplasm by Agricultural Research Center of Dongguan in 1996.In order to find out whether it has a different name with the same thing between 'Dongyuan' and the main commercial varieties of longan in china,'Dongyuan' and seven varieties ('Gushan No.2','Shixia','Chuliang','Dawuyuan','Caopuzhong','Lingiong' and 'Shuinan No.1') were examined by RAPD in this assay and discussed the genetic relationships among them with clustering analysis.The results showed there was no synonym among them; 'Dongyuan' is a new logan line.
