Effect of Temperature on Flower-Bud Induction of Longan in Phytotron
The phytotron was used to investigate the effect of temperature on flower-bud induction of longan. The results showed that flower bud differentiation was induced at 6-15℃ for 30 d and then 9-18℃ for 80 d.However, there were no flower buds at 10-20℃ for 30 d and then 15-25℃ for 80 d.The suitable content of soil moisture was 14-18%; there were no flower bud under 10%. It was indicated that suitable low temperature (6-15℃,daily average temperature 9.75℃ for 30 d) and the amount of accumulated lower temperature (≤6℃ for 125 h or ≤10℃ for 812 h,or daily average temperature ≤10℃ for 21 d) were the key factors of flower bud differentiation in logan.
