Control Effects on Litchi Downy Blight Disease by Endophytic Bacterial Strain TB2 and its Pathogenesis-Related Proteins
This study demonstrated that an endophytic bacterial strain TB2 (Bacillus amyloliquefaciens) had a good control effect on litchi downy blight disease (Peronophthora litchii). The control effect was 67.07% in 6 d after inoculation with strain TB2.The control mechanism could be that the endophytic bacterial increased the activities of β-1,3-glucanase and chitinase,175.00 and 220.04%,higher than that of control in the 6 d after inoculation with the strain TB2,and also increased the contents of glutathione (GSH) and ascorbic acid (ASA),10.66 and 86.65% separate. However, the activities of peroxidase (POD) and polyphenol oxidase (PPO) (37.57 and 23.97%) were still lower.
