Innovation of Technological Entrepreneurship: A Simple Case of Incubator from UK
There is an increasing creation of research and expertise in technological entrepreneurship within universities. Many universities are eager to look for appropriate industrial carriers for technology transferring. On the other hand, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which occupy more than 99 per cent of enterprises in the UK, are also looking for technological opportunities for business growth and performance improvement. Recently, the business incubator is envisaged as an integral part in some British universities, to foster the idea of entrepreneurship, and its integration with the creation of new ideas. As an effective bridge, university incubator serves a launching pad for enthusiastic entrepreneurs having innovative propositions related to technologies.In this paper, the author presents a simple case from the Surrey University, which has a trenched tradition for technological innovation and its entrepreneurship. Through the case study, the paper also intends to a prospective view for technological research and entrepreneurial venturing in China.
