Competition between Open Source Software Development Projects: Case Study on BBS in China

摘要：

This paper presents some critical elements related to successful open source software development projects. Three elements are identified. They are structure, conduct and performance. There are some interactions between structure, conduct and performance in community. This paper also provides a framework to understand why some open source software behaves better than others based on case study on Bulletin Board System (BBS) development in China.
