The Institutional Analysis of the Enterprise Patenting in Developing Countries-A Study of Zhejiang Intellectual Property System Reformation and Enterprises Patenting
To analyze the relation of intellectual property system and the enterprise patenting in developing countries, the paper formulates a general analytic model of enterprises patenting in developing countries-the model of the innovation of IP system→ the change of innovators cost-benefit status → the incentive to the patenting. Within the model, the paper analyzes the influences of IP system changes on the enterprises patenting. The sample analysis bases on the comprehensive questionnaires from 1162 SM high-tech Zhejiang enterprises in 2000, the questionnaires on patent application and grant of 3209 Zhejiang enterprises in 2003. Finally, some measures and suggestions are given on how to further strengthen the stimulation of enterprise patent activities in developing countries.
