Learning and Innovation of Local Cluster in Global Value Chain - A Case Study of Yunhe Wooden Toys Cluster in Zhejiang, China

摘要：

Using a case study of the export-oriented Yunhe wooden toys cluster in Zhejiang, China, this paper discusses the influence of global value chain on local industrial cluster in developing countries. By emphasizing the interaction between local cluster and global chain such as global buyers, foreign direct investment, it highlights the importance of external linkages for learning of local clusters. Surveying the evolution of Yunhe cluster in global wooden toys chain, it analyses the impact of external learning on innovation and upgrading of local cluster further.
