The Undermine of Washington Consensus to BNSI in the 1990s: Cautions to the Developing Economies
In this paper, we analyze the impact of macroeconomic policies on Brazilian National Innovation System in 1990s. As a whole, the illusion of Washington Consensus undermined BNSI and meanwhile influenced long-term economic and innovative capability of the nation. It concludes that continuous R&D input and special industrial policies are necessary for growth of developing countries.
