A Synchronization Scheme for MIMO OFDM System M

In the paper, an accurate and efficient scheme for time and frequency synchronization is proposed for 2×2 MIMO OFDM based on wireless local area networks(WLAN)system. The synchronization is achieved by using training symbols and CP which are simultaneously transmitted from 2 transmit antennas. For timing synchronization, in order to reduce the probability of false alarm and false detection , dual threshold is used. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme performs successfully under very low SNR conditions (for example, less than -10dB) with large frequency offset . Furthermore, this structure can be extended to COMP(Coordinated Multi-Point)system.
