The New Trend of Ideological and Political Education in Western Countries and Its Enlightenments
In recent years, there are a number of new features of ideological and political education in Western countries in contents, methods, means, approaches and objects. These features are composed of the colorful contents with stressed patriotism, of the more flexible methods emphasizing infiltration, of the wide and omnidirectional approaches, of the clear direction and distinct class nature, and of continuous innovation and strong adaptability. In the past years in Western countries, there are several new theories in this field, in which three representative schools are the theory of perfection of personality, the theory of value clarification and the theory of moral cognitive development. We can analyze and absorb these methods, means and theories of ideological and political education in Western countries and make good use of them for references to improve our research capacity, to support the development and innovation in the field of ideological and political education in our country.
