The Assessment of Practical Training Program for Civil Engineering Students at Nanyang Normal University
In order to provide the highest quality training for qualified students to make them productive engineers who observe professional ethics, maintain a high standard of practice, provide leadership, and have the breadth of vision to solve problems of today and the future. Nanyang Normal University civil engineering students are required to conduct a practical training program. The program mainly aims at notifying the students with many several aspects which are different from the theoretical aspects that are learned in the university. The objective of this paper is to evaluate the training program for the civil engineering students from several aspects such as program duration, the supervisory of students, benefits, and the ways to improve this program. The results indicated that the duration of the training program should be increased for more than three months and it is necessary to add this program to the main courses of the civil engineering program.
