Evaluation and Analysis of Regional Higher Education Performance Based on DEA

摘要：

On view of input and output, the evaluation indicator system of regional higher education performance is set up and reduced by principal components analysis (PCA). Using the method of data envelopment analysis (DEA), higher education performance is evaluated for 31 regions in Chinese mainland, and each efficiency score is thus calculated respectively. According to the efficiency scores, higher education performance of 31 regions is divided into two major categories with four sub-categories and comparative analysis is specified for each category.
