Exploration of the Quality and Characteristics of Applied Undergraduate Education for Mechanical Major
This article firstly analyses the characteristics of applied undergraduate education, discusses the targets of mechanical professional training, and comes up with the perspective that cultivation of engineering abilities is the basic requirement. Secondly is to discuss and re-thinking of the current situation of applied undergraduate education, and points out that the core elements of featured education should be improvement of teaching quality, the main contents should serve the needs of local economic development. And all these require not only a deeper professional teaching, but also a wider orientation. Last, this article introduces some practical measures to improve education reform in professional development and application abilities cultivation.
