A Study on the Multimedia-aided College English Teaching
There are different opinions on multimedia-aided teaching. The purpose of this research is to further explore the students attitudes towards the multimedia-aided teaching and its effectiveness in teaching college English. By way of questionnaire and tests, the author carried out an experiment of multimedia-aided teaching lasting three terms. The questionnaire result indicates that 77.3% of the students like multimedia-aided teaching but there are also some problems in multimedia-aided teaching. The tests results show that there is no significant difference between the control class and the experimental class before and after the experiment (p>0.05 in all independent samples t tests). In empirical way, this study shows that both multimediaaided teaching and traditional teaching method can achieve best as long as the teacher make full use of the existing conditions to carry out their teaching philosophy.
