Application of Action-oriented Teaching Method in Landscape Architecture Specialty
The teaching method refers to the sum of methods that teachers and students advocate teaching activities to achieve the teaching targets, which has direct effects to promote the quality of education. The landscape architecture specialty (LAS) is a specialty with strong practicalness. The action-oriented teaching method (AOTM) has broad application prospect in the teaching of LAS. Through analyzing the responsibilities and duties of post groups in landscape market, then the efficient teaching methods were selected based on needs of the knowledge structure and quality ability of each post group. AOTM consists of a series of teaching methods take action as the guidance, this paper analyzes the application of AOTM in the LAS such as brainstorming method, project approach, on-the-spot teaching method, guiding text approach, case teaching methodology, field survey teaching methodology, demonstration teaching methodology, simulation teaching method, to increase the teaching ability of teachers and occupation skill of students.
