Discussion on Teaching Innovation on City Planning Practice Based on Market Demand
As a university of fostering applied-type talents, the main task of urban planning is to enable students to gradually learn to apply arts & science knowledge, comprehensively and optimizedly, which associated with the city, to find a best way to arrange urban space. By the way, the urban space, through a reasonable layout, can not only meet the aesthetic and technical requirements, but also the social requirements, such as economy, politics, and so on. Therefore, the teaching of practical curriculum is the core of urban planning education. In this paper, based on market demand, the establishment and teaching method & means was discussed from the view of training applied-type and innovative-type talents. So it could contribute to bring up innovative planning professionals who can adapt to the requirements of the development of the times and shoulder the task of urban planning & building in the 21 st century.
