Survey Report on Sexual Education on University Students in Guangdong Province
This report summarizes the sexual education on university students in Guangdong province collected during January and March 2010. The data represents more than 1 million students including male and female, from freshmen to senior, central city, suburban, and rural residents. This study asked students for their perceptions regarding such sexual education issues as the following: When, by whom that they firstly heard of sex? Whether what they learnt was correct? How often, what and where do they talk about sex? Whether they had the education? How was it? What the education should be? How is the outcome? According to the findings, pre-university sexual education is urgently needed for university students, there should be a compulsory sexual education course in the first year, with no more than 60 students in a class, and taught by new methods and proper proportion of contents.
