A Study of Development of Comprehensive Competence of College Counselors in the New Situation
Comprehensive competence is the intrinsic requirement for the work of college counselors and also provides a broader platform for the career development of the counselors themselves. Comprehensive competence of college counselors include the capability to understand policies, the capability of perfecting knowledge structure, good verbal expression and communicative ability, talents in a variety of entertainment and sports, and the ability to learn in pace with the time. There are specific requirements for every single occupation, and the development of college counselors comprehensive competence calls for occupational education and training while the practitioners existing capability is there as the foundation. The paper studies the composition of college counselors comprehensive competence and the measures to develop the comprehensive competence. The paper attempts to provide guidance for the development of the college counselors as a group.
