A Brief Analysis on Problems and Countermeasures of English Teacher Management in Higher Vocational Education
With the deeper reform in China higher education system, the mode of teacher management of higher vocational education is turning from experience management to scientific management. As a part of higher vocational education, higher vocational English education differs greatly from the ordinary college English education in teaching and training objectives and curriculum setting, which to some extent determines the particularity of English teacher resource management. In this paper, an analysis is made through questionnaire to reveal the current situation and existing problems of English teacher management of higher vocational education. With the ideology of humanistic management as the theoretic foundation, six countermeasures are put forward accordingly to improve the situation, which include teacher introduction, teacher training, teacher appraisal and appointment, teacher evaluation mechanisms, incentive mechanism and parttime and foreign teacher management.
