The Dissimilation and Retuning of the Higher Education Teachers Role
With the deepening of the reform in China, Chinese higher education teachers income has been greatly increased. But meanwhile they are losing their good reputation in the society due to the serious dissimilation of their role as college and university teachers. This has directly impacted the quality of personnel training in China. The largescale role dislocation of college and university teachers resulted from the present evaluation system, which is not based on quality but on quantity. It is the bounden duty of the college and university teachers to pass on knowledge and enlighten people, to set moral role models for their students, and to establish social responsibility. The retuning of the higher education facultys role involves the change of the present evaluation system to aim at raising their professional ethics.
