A New Approach to BOM Management Supporting Enterprise Information Collaboration
Focusing on the features of BOMs which are produced during the processes of product design, planing and manufacure and the effective organizaiton and management of BOMs, we build a collaborative information-share BOM structure model by classifying BOM structures into two categories: primary share BOM and feature BOM which is subdivided into secondary share BOM and independent BOM. In addition, using the model, we present a new method of representation and management of collaborative BOMs based on process relationship and mapping trasformation. Thus our research provides a new BOM theoretical method and technical basis for cooperation among all the depatments within an etnterprise.
