A new seismic emergency auto-handling instrument for the lifeline engineering: low cost embedded system solution

To mitigate the disasters, casualties and economic losses by the earthquake, a new seismic emergency auto handling instrument for the lifeline engineering was presented. The MEMS and embedded system technologies were introduced to solve the high performance, high reliability, and low cost problems. And a 3-layer architecture model was used to compose the software system, which enhanced the responding speed and the auto-handling performance. Through the preliminary experiment analysis, the low cost seismic emergency auto-handling instrument could measure the ground motion acceleration in real-time, and realize the seismic emergency auto-handling rapidly.
