Cable Force Identification Based on Global Optimization by Coupled Local Minimization technique
As a new optimization technique, coupled local minimizers (CLM) possesses a high search speed and global search capability,which is applicable to global optimization of functions with multiple local minima, establishes a cooperative search mechanism using a population of local optimizers which are coupled during the search process by synchronization constraints. The CLM method is able to find the global minimum of the cost function with the local gradientbased algorithms and the parallel strategy. Hence,the CLM gives rise to an accurate approach to identifying structural parameters based on the measured modal frequencies combed the robust optimization method and the precise finite element model.In this paper, A method is presented and applied to identify cable parameters from the measured modal frequencies of the Heping Bridge cables.
