PID Control and Simulation of the Automatic Correcting System for Lorry-mounted Crane Telescopic Boom
In view of the fact that the force-deformation of a telescopic boom is large due to frequent operation of the large-tonnage lorry-mounted crane, an automatic correcting system was designed with the closed-loop electrohydraulic proportional control technology and PID control technology. The transfer function of each link of the closed-loop system was obtained, the model of the whole system was established by using Simulink and the simulation of dynamic performance was realized. Based on the simulation results, the PID tuning was carried out to improve the dynamic response performance of the system and make the stress each telescopic boom suffered approximately equal, thereby improving its working stability and prolonging its life span.
