Decoupling Internal Model Control for Non-square Process with Time Delays
A new design method of decoupling internal model control is proposed for non-minimum phase non-square processes with different time delays that are often encountered in chemical and industrial practice. A realizable decoupling controller is obtained by adding some compensated terms which are derived analytically. Filters are added to the control structure to improve the robustness. Meanwhile, a control model reduction method based on NLJ algorithm is introduced to simplify the controller matrix. The simulation results show the decoupling capability and robustness of the proposed control schemes and it can be applied to the general industrial processes.
