Simulation and Analysis of Passive Wireless TPMS Digital Down Converter Based on System Generator
In the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) based on the passive wireless surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensor, the phase error is quite high due to the DC offset, the amplitude and phase imbalance of inphase and quad-phase in analog quadrature demodulation, and the disconformity of two A/D converters. In order to improve the sensitivity and resolution of the passive wireless SAW sensor, a method of digital quadrature demodulation of information extraction is presented in this paper. During the demodulation process, SYSTEM GENERATOR, a system design software by Xilinx Inc. is utilized to design intermediate frequency (IF) signal down converter so that the accuracy of the phase detection can be highly improved This method is easy to manipulate, flexible for various designs, and is highly efficient.
