On the Relationship Between the Folk Tourism Festival and the Modern Entertainment Culture
In view of the interests of tourists, the successful development of folk tourism festival largely depends on meeting the tourist needs for entertainment based on the correct identification of the relationship between folk custom tourism and modem entertainment culture. We think the folk tourism festival and the modern entertainment culture are two sides of a coin; they just cant face each other, but still they stay together because they have both similarity and difference. Their similarity lies in the provision of facilities for relaxation with entertainment featuring ethnic culture and commercialized operation. Their difference is embodied by the repellence of the profane from the sacred and the preference of the expression style between tradition and modem elements. Therefore, we have to identify the relationship between the folk tourism festival and the modern entertainment culture to achieve sustainable development of folk tourism festival.
