Feature research for variable period reverberation in neritic area
The variable period reverberation which is caused by undulating seabed topography is the main disturbance in neritic area seismic exploration. This paper analyzes the forming course of variable period reverberation in theory, deduces the formula which is about the frequency features of variable period reverberation and discusses the frequency features of period reverberation when the cable and seismic source are in the different water depth. A model for the study of featuers of veriable period reverberation is discribed. The results shows that the modeling results accords well with the computing results in theory. The study can play an important role in removal of reverberation from marine seismic records.
