Structural Design and Simulation Research of a Novel Three-dimensional Force Tactile Sensor

A novel three-dimensional force flexible tactile sensor based on pressure-conductive rubber is presented. The sensor has good flexibility and can be used to measure three-dimensional force. Its major principle is that we can obtain applied force through detecting pressure-conductive rubbers resistance. The preliminary results of the pressure-conductive rubbers finite element analysis and simulation of the sensor will be also presented. It shows that the sensor can measure three-dimensional force accurately. Index Terms—Pressure-conductive rubber, Three-dimensional force, Tactile sensor, Finite element analysis
