Distributed Agents for Platform-level Modeling and Simulation of Military Operations
To support the advanced concept technology demonstration of warfare system activities,modeling and simulation for military operations needs to meet challenges about description of intelligent engagement action,dynamic information processing, capricious battlefield environment, as well as the complexity of warfare system.In this paper, platform level istributed-agents-based modeling and simulation approach is proposed to solve the problem. Based on analysis on military operations concept development process,according to agent definition of mapping function from perception sequences to actions,the mapping from military operations entities to respective agents is set up. The distributed agents system organization and agent architecture of military operations are designed. An improved Contract Net Protocol is proposed in case study in which military operations are taken by opposed Red and Blue forces. The demonstration system shows that our model can be used to understand the external, complex and intelligent military operations activities and can realize the dynamic warfare action simulation.
